ALCOR-SYSTEM services were requested by various customers in the field of optical designs for astronomical, medical and industrial projects. ZEMAX Software is used to perform system simulation and performance simulation (sequential and non-sequential mode). We have a network of outsourcing companies to manufacture the optical parts, and perform system test validation, according to the expected performance.
Our company carried out the complete design of a 430mm F15 refractor. This included also tolerance analysis, opto-mechanical interface, mechanical flexure simulations, and manufacturing follow-up and on sky tests validation with our in house Shack-Hartmann analyser.
ALCOR-SYSTEM can achieve any project in telescope design and performance validation. We have a long experience in this field for many years now. This can be simple two mirrors systems, or more complex systems with field correctors.
As a project proposal, a 800mm F4.2 RC telescope has been designed. It fullfills a near diffraction limited performance in the Ø86 mm field of view. Slide images to know more about the performances.
This is a dual lens folded system, providing highest performance in the 550nm range over a field of view of 0.5°.
Our company can do reverse engineering of existing systems, by dismouting it carefully, and find all distances, thicknesses, radius curvature of optical elements and retrieve refraction indexes. For example this INTES MK703 has been reversed in order to check its how far it can perform. This telescope has the correcting plate in front of the main mirror, and is made of only pure spherical surfaces.
The next image shows a sun spot achieved with this system. The outstanding performance of the optical system led to outstanding images ! Resolution is around 0.3 arcsec in this image.
Another reversed simple system, is the GSO 12" RC Telescope. All optics radius have been measured.
Many of our studies were achieved for many companies that cannot be disclosed in this document.
Last case is a Wynne field corrector for a newton telescope (Ø255 F3.3 telescope) made of several different glasses.
